| Sumario: | Among studies about the central ode of Aeschylus’ Supplices (625-709), it
has been favoured the historie and political aspect, focused on the
curiously favourable way in which the city of Argos was represented. In
this way, it has been neglected the extraordinary functionality of the
song. In this article, we intend to demónstrate that the presence of this
extensive ode could be understood in a new and enriching perspective, if
it is considered the way in which the dramatist has known to take
advantage of the interaction between this tragic song and lyric genres,
particularly with paean. |
