Sumario:Aggresive periodontitis is a serious periodontal disease, of, rare early onset, which has specific clinical features and diagnostic criteria. Etiopathogenesis states that cause extensive destruction of periodontal tissue in a relatively short time, which implies infection highly virulent pathogens and a high level of host susceptibility to the disease, leading to clinical expression progresses rapidly. Its diagnosis requires a thorough anamnesis focus on medical history and meticulous periodontal clinical examination to detect the criteria for diagnosis. Treatment depends on early diagnosis, treatment orientation towards the elimination of the infecting organisms and creating an environment that promotes the long-term maintenance.
