Sumario:Contribution to the biological study of Harmonia axyridis Pallas (Coleoptera, Coccinelidae). Biological studies and morphological description were carried out on Harmonia axyridis Pallas, this aphid predator lady beetle is of chinese origin and new for the Argentine entomologic fauna. It was brought from Station de Zoologie et de Lulte Biologique dAntibes (France) in order to study its behavior under controled chamber conditions: t: 20-22 ºC and R.H: 60-80 %. Masive production is on going fer further release on peach orchards managed under integrated control. Acyrlhosiphum pisum Harris (alfalfa green aphid) was used as feeding material. Also Myzus persicae Sulzer and Brevicoryne brassicae L. were used on an experimental basis. The highest fertility rate was obtained when the lady beetle were fed with Myzus persicae Sulzer. On the other hand, Brevicoryne brassicae L. resulted in the highest Harmonia axyridis Pallas death rate.
