Barthes conjures doxa, again and again, either with fascination or repulsion. Lamborghini is, meanwhile, perhaps, of our Latin American latitudes, one of the authors with sharpest ear to perceive their thunderous murmur, and with the strongest hand to disarm the doxa revealing her paradoxes and contradictions. This article pursues the disturbing figure of doxa in the work of Barthes as a point of departure to read from there the Lamborghinis novel El pibe Barulo. |
