Sumario:Background: Dentistry has stopped focusing only on health, to give a turn towards dental aesthetics. Patients demand results that are more and more pleasing to the eye, seeking to make the treatment that has been carried out imperceptible. New technologies and more conservative treatments are imposed, and allow these requirements to be met. In recent years there has been an increase in the aesthetic demand from patients when performing oral rehabilitation. Simply healthy results, they seem to be no longer enough. The demands of today’s society require the return, along with health, of great aesthetic results. This forces us to have a greater capacity for the planning and development of interdisciplinary management and thus achieve the required level of satisfaction. The assessment must be individualized, uniting the patient’s expectations to the clinical conditions observed (Kina, 2008).
