Sumario:Currently, a minimal invasive dentistry is sought. In clinical practice there is a conservative restorative tendency towards the techniques of caries lesion treatment. Caries remains a health problem in our country and in developed countries, which implies the need for restorative treatment. The objectives were to clinically evaluate the BRIX3000 gel product for chemical removal of dentin affected by caries in appropriately selected patients and subsequently restored with vitreous ionomer cements. In the laboratory it was determined that there is no significant difference in the adhesive strength of a conventional high density vitreous ionomer in dentin treated with a chemical agent that removes dental caries, compared with conventional methods of caries removal.
