Sumario:Always the human been has used plant with medicinal properties. Actually, it is considered that compounds from 20,000 plant species are utilized as medicinal drugs. To obtain new drags from plants is a huge effort of the scientist community. The search of new secondary metabolites from plants involves botanic, phytochemical, biological and molecular techniques. Artemisia mendozana DC. var. Mendozana (A.mendozana, mendozana) is an autotonic plan of Mendoza, Argentine. Leaves are used as infusion in people medicine to combat flatulence and stomach aches. The goal of this work is isolate and purify compound of medium polarity from leaves of A.mendozana, mendozana and evaluate the effect as cell antiproliferative activity in vitro, and to eliminate experimental murine melanomas. Compounds purified from extracts will be checked in melanoma tumor B16F0 cells proliferation in vitro and in the growth of induced melanoma in C57 BL/6 mouce injected with B16F0 cells.
