Sumario:Building certification methodologies have been consolidated as tools for promoting the development of sustainable buildings and the intention to classify buildings. In the Argentine Republic, various initiatives have emerged throughout the national territory. The Secretary of State for Energy of the Province of Santa Fe (SESFe) consolidated a methodology that allows the energy evaluation of a residential building. This methodology addresses the calculation of the energy efficiency index (IPE) and a label according to that value. The label has seven levels of energy efficiency, with "A" being the most efficient and "G" being the least efficient. The IPE is a representative value of an estimate of the primary energy that the building will use in one year per square meter to satisfy the demands of comfort (thermal, light and environment). This methodology is limited to establishing the ranges of values that correspond to each label due to the lack of consumption data of the different types of existing residential buildings. The problem found is to obtain reference values of the houses. With small and unrepresentative sampling, it is not possible to establish the threshold values or range of the scale.Metamodels can be used to obtain predictions related to the energy efficiency of buildings. The objective is to elaborate a metamodel with a database of measurements and parametric simulations to obtain the average of the energy requirement of the MMA houses and reach a representative scale that has credibility in the label and that the buildings have the best they are the ones that save energy significantly. The main objective is to develop a simple characterization metamodel that allows to establish the IPE average from which you can set the ranges of the labeling scale according to the letters (A, B, C, D, E, F and G) .The methodological process of the research consists of three stages: 1-Development of the metamodel, 2-Arming of ranges of values for the A-G scale and 3-Validation and verification of the labeling range. It is expected that it will reach a scale of energy requirements representative of the residential buildings of the Greater Mendoza from which it is possible to establish IPE values for the 7 levels of efficiency.
