Sumario:Martensitic transitions in Fe-Mn-Cr alloys will be studied. These alloys show 2 martensitic transitions, fcc-hcp and fcc-bcc. The first one is responsible for the one way shape memory effect and will be particularly considered. Particularly driving forces will be determined and the stress induced transition will be analyzed. In order to determine driving forces, the enthalpy changes of the transformation will be measured. The effect of microstructural changes will be also studied.
