Sumario: | Already surpassed the idea of art as beauty and emotion, separated of reality, contemporary art locate the artist in another position; the artist doesn 't create his work only with material, but a/so with aesthetic concepts. It is seen as an active agent able to produce a change and that often sustains a social responsibility and sometimes a/so educational. This text attempts a journey through four significant artistic actions of the interdisciplinary group Periferia, in whose creations uses languages like perfomance and urban interventionfor the awareness and reconstruction oflocal memory. He resorts to the methodology of artistic research for his productions, thus modeling aesthetic proposals that revea/ our social experience. |
