Sumario:Chagas disease or American Trypanosomiasis is one of the most important causes of morbidity and mortality in Latin America, and it has currently become an emerging disease in non-endemic countries due to the migratory growth between countries, which makes its study is every day more important and is more updated. Cardiac involvement is the most severe manifestation, although generally late and closely related to the prognosis of the patients. We present the case of a patient whose first manifestation of the disease was a sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia that concluded in the full treatment of Chagas' cardiomyopathy with placement of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator with resynchronizer.
