Sumario:Archaeological research has paid little attention to the eastern mountain foot of the precordillera compared to the ones held in valleys and precordillera sectors. However, the study of this sector is important to understand the settling – subsistence pattern of the hunter-gatherer societies of the region. On the other hand, though models to explain the articulator model between high and low lands during the prehistoric period have been postulated, the diachronic variations have not been defined yet. This research is aimed to describe the characteristics of the archaeological remains of the east mountain foot environment in the precordillera of Mendoza, particularly of a settling located in Papagayos rift. By analyzing the lithic techonology, hypothesis referred to the technological and settling pattern circa 3,000 years BP will be proposed.
