| Sumario: | In this article, the CIFOT experience is shown in the work requested for such purpose by the Mining Office, called The Mining Information Situation- Province of Mendoza, 1993”. The main aim was to assess the available information, to process and graph it and to generate topic cartography starting from the use of SIG. We manage to show the importance of Mining in Mendoza through the states, the Mining deposits distribution, their state and the road infrastructure that serves as support. This lets the Mining Office to implement a united mining information system, a task that is completed afterwards by the national PASMA program and, furthermore, to show Mendoza’s mining reality in Denver, USA. |
