Sumario:As certain authors, like E. Grüner, E. Lander and A. Mbembe, have shown, Eastern thought acquires a binary form, this is, Eastern thought is constitutively built on exclusive and excluding categories, on antagonic pairs, on oppositional poles. In the same way, Eastern identities -gender, class, ethnical or political identities- are binarily constructed. In the present study we intend to focus on certain postcolonial thinkers who, by crossing the ontological, epistemological and political dimensions of ways of thinkings and of constructing identities, have suggested a number of elements for the deconstruction of binarism. H. Bhabha, R. Segato, R. Paiva and G. Anzaldúa have thus defined, in our opinion, possible departures from this worldview, specifically via the key concepts of 'hybridity', 'pluriculture', 'parity' and 'crossbreeding'.
