Sumario: | The basis of these reflections, a deep concern about current practices in
geographical research. There is no doubt that the task of initiating students in
research is difficult because it is, in principle, of awakening the vocation for an
activity that should be central in the profession chosen - that of Bachelor-,
along with discover skills to develop it. The research process has a beginning
for other difficult as it is the selection of the topic/problem. The difficulties start
at the very beginning and are linked with the degree of motivation to start the
task, the proper handling of the conceptual frameworks - explanatory and what
is strictly geographical knowledge.
