Sumario:Hardness is one of the properties used to compare restorative materials as well as biological tissues. The goal of this work is to determine the micro hardness of the coronary dentin in unconditioned and then conditioned teeth with EDTA at 17%. For this study, 30 dentin samples of recently extracted teeth were selected. The items were sectioned longitudinally with a double diamond cut-off wheel (Horico) with abundant aqueous refrigeration at a coronary level. They will be kept in artificial saliva at 37ºC (NAF laboratory). The dentin microhardness measurement was performed with a Vickers micro hardness tester with a 50g. load during 30 sec. Data were collected in an ad hoc chart and processed statistically by a student's t test.
