Sumario:Considering the lacking of biological observations on many of the argentine cactaceae, the author thought it useful to make it know those of three of them belonging to the genus Echinopsis, Pterocactus and Maihuenia, verified in their habitat or on material kept in culture over a period of two decades. He report in Echinopsis mirabilis its night anthesis, in Pterocactus cfr. tuberosus the vitality of its radical bulbs, in Maihuenia cfr. Valentinii the morphological structure of the seed, and in the three species, the morphological structure of their pollen grains and theirs seeds germination. The staminal irritability and the way of spreading of some of these Cactaceae and its biological type have been also considered. Materials of revised herbals (local dispersión), those of living plants observed by the author and the institutions where the palinological documents are kept, are also mentioned.
