This study seeks to recognize the impact of culture on economic development through an empirical exercise focused on the Museum of Antioquia in Medellin (Colombia).
A perception survey to the residents and visitors of the city was used. A descriptive data analysis was performed and then formalized as a logistic regression in order to identify and explain the elements that allow to link culture and development.
The study found that nearly 90% of respondents believe that the existence of the Museum of Antioquia is important for economic development of the city of Medellin, identifying it as a cultural and tourist attraction that generates positive impacts on economic growth and social welfare |
