Sumario:We present a synthesis of the theoretical principles that support an Archeology of Social Reproduction, showing in a general way its application to a case study. In the first part, we make a historical-conceptual tour of the place of archeology within the framework of the contractualist thought of modernity and we carry out a definition of the theoretical and political framework in which the Theory of Social Reproduction in Social Sciences is inscribed. In the second part, we make a critique of androcentrism in the research of the Arid North of Chile and we show the main evidences that support a theoretical model about the strategies of Social Reproduction in the Archaic-Formative transition of the Pampa del Tamarugal from bioarchaeological evidence from the Tarapacá 40 Cemetery (Tarapacá Region, Chile).
