Sumario:This paper studies the impact of Federico García Lorca on Argentine neo-romantic poetry and poetics of the 1940s. I have selected the testimony of two highly representative poets: Alfonso Sola González and Daniel Devoto. In both cases, the reception follows the double path of the critical commentary and the use of Lorca’s techniques and motives in the creative work itself. I am interested in enquiring about the phenomena that may have favoured the enthusiastic readings of Lorca, the values perceived in his work from the horizon of this neo-romantic poetics, and the ways of reception.
