Sumario: | Lullabies have been part of the ancestral folklore of the people. In Cuba, these songs have characteristics that reflect the musical and literary traditions of the national culture. This work analyses the lullabies written and sung in Cuba at different moments in the country's history, their origin, forms of expression and literary and musical particularities, with special emphasis on the way in which they arrived on the island and how they were taken up by Cuban poets and musicians at different moments in history: Republican negrista poetry, the revolutionary Cuban trova and more contemporary authors. It also analyses the lullaby in creation for children and the different literary and musical forms it adopts. Among the most renowned authors are Eliseo Grenet, Emilio Ballagas, Nicolás Guillén, Ignacio Villa, Dora Alonso and Excilia Saldaña, among others, each with their own way of writing and expressive particularities. |
