| Sumario: | The performing arts of different territories of the Argentine Republic explore what we call a “south node”, that is, a field of poetic and material forces that interacts with three ramifications: I) the south as a dynamic process of regionalization; II) the south as the artistic configuration of a paradoxical place; III) the south as a theoretical foundation to resolve national tensions between center and periphery. Based on this constant, this article delimits and constructs two “observational maps” of the south node. These maps were strategically designed based on the dramaturgies of Argentine Patagonia, with the purpose of understanding the responses of the regional theater in the formation of the "internal borders" of the country, without centralizing, homogenizing or essentialist thought schemes. |
