Sumario:The agroindustrial activity of bovine slaughter plays a fundamental role in the functio ning of the agri-food system of Latin America and Argentina specifically. The objective of the work was to determine the scale and management efficiency of each Argentine province in 2020, as well as its gaps and other indicators. The work was developed with the data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique using the R-Studio software and applying the classic output-oriented models. The novelty of this technique is the use of the business tool in the territorial scope. The stock of bovine heads destined for slaughter, provincial consumption and active slaughter establishments were used as inputs. Provincial slaughter for the domestic market was used as the output variable. The main results indicate that, based on the constant returns to scale model, the effi cient provinces are Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Mendoza, Santa Fe and Tucumán. Using the variable returns to scale model, the provinces of Catamarca, San Luis, San Juan, La Rioja and Tierra del Fuego are efficient. Santa Fe is the province with the highest reference for inefficient provinces
