Sumario:Freire’s philosophy moves between personalism and Christian existentialism, to a proposition that dialogues with classical and critical Marxism. Hence, the idea of liberation in his writings derives from different moments of theoretical development. The question that guides and articulates this writing is the following one: which is the path that the notion of liberation follows in the intellectual production of Freire? The purpose of this paper is to present Freire’s rhizomatic discourse, neither linear nor conservative, its interruptions and reformulations, and that connects one idea with another since it does not pretend unique truths, and its interruptions and reformulations. Also, it aims at establishing a permanent dialogue with the epochal debates of academies and popular movements.
