It begins with a critique of Western models of science and philosophy and contrasts them with Latin American popular thinking. From there, possibilities are proposed for teaching philosophy based on a Latin American vision, on the one hand, and, on a diferent way of thinking about the subjetcs who philosophize, on the other. Concurrently, the Latin American reception of the program Philosophy for Children and its reappropriation from the philosophy with children proposal is approached, relating their differences, among other issues, to the conception of the subject that philosophizes on the notion of be-being. El artículo presenta conceptos y reflexiones de Rodolfo Kusch para pensar la cuestión de la enseñanza de la filosofía. Inicia con una crítica a los modelos occidentales de ciencia y filosofía y los contrapone al pensamiento popular latinoamericano. A partir de allí se plantean posibilidades para la enseñanza de la filosofía desde, por un lado, una concepción de filosofía latinoamericana y, por otro, de una forma diferente de pensar a los sujetos que filosofan. Al mismo tiempo, se aborda la recepción latinoamericana del programa Filosofía para Niños y su reapropiación desde la propuesta filosofía con niños vinculando su diferencia, entre otras cuestiones, a la concepción del sujeto que filosofa desde la idea de estar siendo.
