In the article we intend, from a critical analysis, to outline the political and social context; deepen the main axes, objectives and goals and develop the structure of the reformist education system through the discourse of the philosopher. The scope of the Reformation, both in its foundations and in its formal aspects, makes it one of the most notable projected in Latin America during the twentieth century. For its part, Salazar leaves us as a legacy a theoretical-programmatic work that is a true and fundamental contribution in terms of Latin American pedagogical thinking. The purpose of putting these elements in dialogue configures the possibility of making critical readings of pedagogical experiences as sources for thinking about the present and projecting the future. La Reforma Educativa Peruana que se proyectó durante el gobierno del general nacionalista Juan Velasco Alvarado (1968 a 1975) tuvo en el filósofo peruano Augusto Salazar Bondy a su principal impulsor y vocero. En este artículo pretendemos, desde un análisis crítico, esbozar el contexto político y social; profundizar en los principales ejes, objetivos y fines y desarrollar la estructura del sistema educativo reformista a través del discurso del filósofo. La envergadura de la Reforma, tanto en sus fundamentos como en sus aspectos formales, la convierte en una de las más notables proyectadas en Latinoamérica durante el siglo XX. Por su parte, Salazar nos deja a modo de legado una obra teórica- programática que resulta un verdadero y fundamental aporte en términos de pensamiento pedagógico latinoamericano. El propósito de poner en diálogo estos elementos configura la posibilidad de realizar lecturas críticas de experiencias pedagógicas como fuentes para pensar el presente y proyectar el futuro.
