Thisallows us not only to describe the mentioned group more fully and accurately, but also tounderstand mechanisms that explain its production and dynamics. We investigate therevisiting of realism in an experimentalist field, through demonstrably effectivemethodologies for collecting and analyzing data. Life Span Theory (Baltes) and case studies(Flybjerg) allows us to consider and include the authorial figure in our discussion withoutresorting to simple biographism. We question the eventual or expanding nature of thisrealistic tendency and its correlation with the persistance of realism in other areas ofArgentine literature. Este trabajo profundiza en el estudio de un grupo de autores/directores/actores de vanguardia de Argentina. Para ello, y como alternativa de la idea de generación para el estudio de grupos de artistas y su producción, proponemos el empleo del concepto de cohorte (Mason y Wolfinger). Este nos permite no solo caracterizar el mencionado grupo con mayor amplitud y precisión, definirlo mediante un análisis más potente y detallado, sino comprender mecanismos que explican la naturaleza de su creación y su dinámica. Enfocamos la revisitación del realismo dentro de un medio experimentalista utilizando metodologías de recolección y análisis de datos probadamente eficaces. La Life Span Theory (Baltes) y el estudio de casos (Flybjerg) nos permiten considerar en nuestra explicación la figura autoral eludiendo el simple biografismo. Abrimos el interrogante acerca de la naturaleza eventual o expansiva de esta tendencia realista y de su correlato con la actualidad del realismo en otras zonas de la literatura argentina.
