Sumario: | Buenos Aires spread Orient through literary and artistic productions. Following the European taste for the Orientalism, artists participated in aesthetic approaches around the exoticism, of their formal solutions and used it as a source of renewal in art. These works were made especially in the second decade of the 20th century. As an example we will focus our attention on the artist Gregorio López Naguil. The Oriental image appeared through the painting, illustration for books and periodicals and theatrical scenography.
