It is analyzed, particularly, the constructions of both genders man and woman. To carry out such an analyzis, this work has been devided in two main parts: the first one is a review on masculinities and gender that are in Martín Fierro —the Argentina’s fundational text—, and the second part is an study on the proposals that Cabezón Cámara’s novel carries out to distort the concepts of nation, masculinities and authorship, all they triggered by the José Hernández’s work and which have been osified in Argentina by means of various ways made by the argentinian status quo. Con base en que en el hecho de que existen narraciones sobre las que se sustentan las configuraciones de las naciones (Benedict Anderson), este trabajo analiza la propuesta de la novela Las aventuras de la China Iron de revisar sobre qué narración se han edificado ciertas nociones de “lo argentino”, particularmente en cuanto a las construcciones de los géneros hombre y mujer. Para llevar a cabo tal análisis, este trabajo se divide en dos grandes partes: la primera es una revisión sobre masculinidades y género en el Martín Fierro —el texto fundacional de Argentina—, y la segunda se trata de un estudio de las propuestas que la novela de Cabezón Cámara lleva a cabo para dislocar los conceptos de nación, masculinidades y autoría, que se gatillan en la obra de José Hernández y que, a través de distintas operaciones convenientes al status quo, se fueron osificando en aquel país.
