The experiences of those years renew the exploratory climate of the 1960s, which both locally and internationally gave importance to performance as a mode of artistic expression and recovered avant-garde concerns of the early twentieth century. The New York neo-avant-garde of that time is a landmark in the performative turn in the arts and the importance given to the body as a support for performances. This text addresses the role of corporeality in the performances and forms of theatricality emerging in the post-dictatorship 80s, connecting the study of this context with that of aspects of the 60s aesthetic-political context. Los años de la apertura democrática argentina se caracterizan por el despliegue de una heterogeneidad de experiencias de performances y formas de la teatralidad en diversos centros de la contracultura porteña, que comparten como aspecto distintivo el interés por experimentar con la corporalidad. Las experiencias de esos años renuevan el clima exploratorio de la década del 60, que tanto a nivel local como internacional daba importancia a la performance como modo de expresión artística y recuperaba preocupaciones vanguardistas de comienzos del siglo XX. La neovanguardia neoyorkina de esa época es un hito del giro performativo en las artes y de la importancia dada al cuerpo como soporte de las performances. Este texto aborda el rol de la corporalidad en las performances y formas de la teatralidad emergentes en los años 80 posdictadura, poniendo en diálogo el estudio de ese entramado con el de aspectos del contexto estético-político de los 60.
