I try to unveil the limits, contradictions and/or possibilities that these efforts imply. I expose the visibility and recovery of woman artists as problematic, primarily because, paradoxically, the same vision, reading, circulation and exhibition methods established by and for the dominant and patriarchal canon are used for this purpose, without question. From this approach I highlight some contributions of feminist ideas and work in the field of art, that surpass the proposition of usual vision methods in the arts, focusing on expansive epistemological reflections which allow us to think about art as part of a network of relationships, tensions, and cultural conditioning. Este texto pone de relieve las formas en que se leen las producciones artísticas realizadas por mujeres; el intento de recuperarlas del olvido y revalorarlas en el presente. Intento develar los límites, contradicciones y/o posibilidades que traen consigo estos empeños. Expongo la visibilidad y recuperación de artistas mujeres como problemático, principalmente porque para este fin se utiliza paradójicamente el mismo método de visión, lectura, circulación y exhibición, establecidos por y desde el canon dominante y patriarcal, sin cuestionarlos. Desde esta apuesta resalto de manera puntual algunos aportes del pensamiento y quehacer feministas al campo del arte, el cual supera la proposición de métodos de visión usuales en las artes, centrándose en reflexiones epistemológicas expansivas que permiten pensar el arte como parte de una red de relaciones, tensiones y condicionamientos culturales.
