Sumario:This essay is part of an ongoing research project. Women’s struggle is very relevant in our analysis, particularly within the New Social Movements, because it allows us to rethink anti-capitalism as a more complex practice that necessarily has to include antipatriarchal position as one of its key pillars. Our approach to Zapatista experience responds to the need to observe how the construction of new social relations disrupts the private/domestic and social/collective space. The daily resistance of Zapatista women exemplifies how important and necessary the collective struggle is against patriarchy within anti-capitalst resistance.
