Sumario:Gender violence and discrimination are both social phenomena that are in constant change. Violent practices reconfigure themselves according to the socio-historical context of the relation between genders. In Argentina, Law 26.485 defined types and modalities of violence against women starting from the prevalence of certain social relationships, which provided a fundamental framework for the approach of the subject. Nonetheless, with the passage of time, certain insufficiency begins to be glimpsed of said conceptualization of the law for understanding and addressing some specificities of the problem. The process of the reform of the higher education in recent years motivated a large amount of reflection and research dedicated to registering the complexity and specificity of the discrimination and gender violence in universities. In the following article, based on the analysis of three data sources[1], we show the modalities that prevail in the university educational sphere from an innovative form of categorization.   [1] The utilized sources were: a survey made to students of the National University of San Martín (UNSAM) during 2016 and 2017 by the Directorate of Gender and Sexual diversity of the same institution; a survey applied to the university system as a whole by the Interuniversitary Network for Gender Equality and Against the Violences (RUGE) and the records of the UNSAM Department of Sexualities and attention of the Violences.
