Sumario: | We analyze the legacy of Eugenio María de Hostos from a critical interpretive key that guides his reading of reality, between the denunciation of the survival of colonial barbarism and the desire for continental unity. We affirm that this key is evidenced in a set of journalistic articles produced between 1870 and 1874, during his trip to South American countries. Some of these writings were published in Mi viaje al sur and in Temas sudamericanos, corresponding to volumes VI and VII respectively of the edition of the Obras Completas of 1939, while others remain, as far as we have been able to know, waiting to be included in the Edición Crítica de las Obras Completas. |
