| Sumario: | The aim of this work is to reconstruct the life of Augustine of Hippo from the historical perspective of his own time. Considering this aim, the bibliographical revision included the analysis of his valuable writings as well as the different authors that influenced his life and work. Augustine, the future bishop of Hippo, came to be the most influential thinker, so much so that his ideas, that existed among romanitas and chistianitas, marked the destiniy of Western Europe. |
