The criteria of their analysis are based both on the way in which they organize these national states, as well as their ideological tendency. In addition, the measures taken to confront the virus are valued, in addition to phenomena such as denial of the pandemic and public health policies, including the absence of them, which impacted both the number of infections and deaths. En este artículo se analiza la manera en que dos países latinoamericanos, México y Colombia, hicieron frente a la pandemia del Covid-19. Los criterios de su análisis se basan tanto en la forma en que se organizan estos Estados nacionales, así como su tendencia ideológica. Además, se valoran las medidas tomadas para enfrentar al virus, sumado a fenómenos como el negacionismo de la pandemia y las políticas de salud pública, incluso la ausencia de las mismas, que impactaron tanto en el número de contagios como de fallecimientos.
