| Sumario: | The SARS-CoV2 virus pandemic has put the world in check, showing and deepening the existing inequalities, especially visible in Latin America. One of the main components of government responses to health emergencies is hospital infrastructure, which is why it is relevant to analyze it from a territorial perspective. Through a comparative study in Salvador (Brazil) and Mexico City, the public hospital infrastructure in large Latin American cities is studied. Through the use of government data represented in a cartographic way, it is shown that the centralization -historical and geographical- of hospital resources contributes to an unequal response that precarices the most vulnerable strata of the population. |
