Sumario:In a context of social, environmental, and political crisis, many actors introduce changes in the electricity grid through generation projects, new infrastructures, technologies and energy management systems. Several studies focus on the transformations related to energy production. However, only a few analyze grid management as well. In this paper, electricity grids are understood as complex systems which are in permanent mutation and comprise flows, infrastructure and actors. In order to contribute to this issue, this paper seeks to reflect on new ways of managing, generating and/or consuming energy that open up for local actors as a result of technological advances and regulatory developments. The paper sets out to do so by analyzing the changes introduced in the electricity grid of Trenque Lauquen (Buenos Aires). The case of Trenque Lauquen reflects the advancement of socio-technical innovation strategies which promote changes in the relationship of actors with energy, in the way of managing, generating and consuming it.
