Sumario: | This paper interprets the search for human identity of the characters created by Peruvian writer Julio Ramón Ribeyro in his story "Silvio en El Rosedal", whose main character is Silvio Lombardi, and by French novelist Patrick Modiano in his novel Missing Person, whose main character is Guy Roland. The analysis is made from a thematological approach, in which literary themes and motifs are identified in each story and compared. Finally, this paper postulates an answer, based on the existential discovery of the characters in these literary works, to a perpetual question regarding the human condition: who am I? |
