Griselda Gambaro, escritora argentina contemporánea, reconocida especialmente por su obra dramática, cuenta con una novelística muyvaliosa, en la cual se destaca su novela Después del día de fiesta. En ella, Gambaro establece un diálogo intertextual con la poesía del escritor italiano Giacomo Leopardi y ficcionaliza al poeta en el entrañable personaje de Giacomino. La voz lírica de Leopardi instaura en Después del día de fiesta un espacio poético donde afloran los sentimientos y las reflexiones de los personajes.
