While the first poses that man’s humanity is fully presented in the logos, the second one states that this full humanity is given to see in public space and the proximity of speech that this space guarantees. In other words: the logocentrism of political philosophy affirms the following: human’s condition presents itself when man speaks, and it is fully presented when man speaks in public space. The primordial unity between body and word remains, thus, as the most important condition of politics. This hypothesis, which describes the close relationship between logocentrism and political philosophy, has an origin: Aristotle’s Politics. From this text, which Rancière refers to in La Mésentente, we will try to develop in the following pages how these notions and this logocentrism operate in Aristotle, Rousseau, Arendt and Rancière. Deux notions montrent le logocentrisme sur lequel s’appuie la pensée de la philosophie politique: la notion de zoon politikon et la notion d’espace public. La première pose que l’humanité de l’homme se présente de façon pleine dans le logos, tandis que la deuxième pose que cette pleine humanité se donne à voir dans l’espace public et la proximité de la parole que cet espace garantit. Autrement dit: le logocentrisme de la philosophie politique dit ceci : l’humanité de l’homme se présente lorsqu’il parle et elle est pleinement présente lorsqu’il parle dans l’espace public. L’unité originale entre corps et parole reste ainsi la condition la plus importante de la politique. Bien évidemment, cette hypothèse qui décrit le rapport étroit entre logocentrisme et philosophie politique possède une origine: la Politique d’Aristote. À partir de ce texte, auquel Rancière fait référence dans La Mésentente, nous essayons de développer dans les pages qui suivent comment ces notions et ce logocentrisme opèrent chez Aristote, Rousseau, Arendt et Rancière.
