Sumario:The following article presents some contributions of the Italian thinker Carla Lonzi regarding the representations of femininity and masculinity in a society structured upon gender binarism. The feminists' request to debate the patriarchal culture and the increasingly women separatism, demands the reading of this author who has indepth thought about it. The article is structured in three parts: the first part presents the context in which the texts were made, as well as a brief biography of the author. The second section focus on the main works of Carla Lonzi, as well as on the most relevant contributions to the field of discussion of the so-called difference feminism. The texts chosen for the analysis are: Let's spit on Hegel, The Clitoral and the Vaginal Woman, and the Manifesto of Rivolta Femminile. Finally, the last part will outline some conclusions about theory and practice.
