In the line of government agencies´studies, the work focuses on Trianes´ contribution to the professionalization of the state in general and the improvement of mendocinian vitiviniculture in particular, by addressing its management as chief of the "Dirección General de Industrias" (provincial government agency, responsible for ensuring the observance of the winemaking laws in Mendoza), between 1923 and 1924. It tries to show that -although his profession was not directly linked to the sphere of action of the agency-, his expertise and his family trajectory - along with his political career- allowed him to participate protagonically in the formulation of diagnoses and measures that are framed in the viticultural control policies -in force since the beginning of the century- and in the conjunctural needs of the final phase of the second government of the "lencinismo". El trabajo rescata la trayectoria pública de Francisco José Trianes (1894-1981), abogado proveniente de una familia de inmigrantes ligada a la vitivinicultura que se vinculó políticamente al lencinismo, llegando a ocupar diversos cargos en la función pública en la década de 1920. En el marco de los estudios sobre el Estado "desde adentro", se busca hacer foco en sus aportes a la profesionalización del Estado en general y a la mejora de la vitivinicultura mendocina en particular, mediante el abordaje de su gestión como interventor de la Dirección General de Industrias (agencia estatal provincial, dependiente del Ministerio de Industrias y Obras Públicas y órgano de aplicación de la legislación vitivinícola en Mendoza), entre 1923 y 1924. A partir de ello, se espera mostrar que, si bien su profesión no se vinculaba directamente con el ámbito de acción de la agencia, su expertise y su trayectoria familiar –junto con su trayectoria política- le permitieron participar protagónicamente en la formulación de diagnósticos y medidas que se encuadran en las políticas de control vitivinícola vigentes desde principios de siglo y en las necesidades coyunturales de la fase final del segundo gobierno lencinista.
