Some of the questions that guide the work are: What do we understand by self-management? Who makes up what is now called the popular economy? How are these workers organized? How is your relationship with the State? First, this sector of the working class is analyzed from authors such as Van der Linden (2008), De la Garza (2011) and Quijano (2014), among others, who define it beyond the salary relationship. Then, we present the main debates related to self-management, the social and solidarity economy and popular economies. In a third section, we establish a brief historical overview of self-management experiences in Argentina, their reconfiguration and connection with the State, through public policies implemented between 2003 and 2019. Finally, we briefly expose two experiences of popular economy in Mendoza: The Companies Recovered by their Workers and an urban fair - the Popular Fair of Guaymallén. The Methodology used is qualitative through techniques such as participant observation, in-depth interviews and analysis of journalistic information. ¿Cómo se organizan estos/as trabajadores/as?
