Sumario:This manuscript deals with the relationship between the researcher’s desire and his effects at the moment of developing research in the social sciences. At first sight, the involvement and affections of the researcher are developed as central elements in the inquiry and as a possibility to occupy an archive. From Jacques Derrida’s concept archive as starting point, the article problematizes political and economic steps that an investigation follows until it is indexed and validated by the mechanisms of surveillance and control over the archives. At the same time, it is proposed to make a negative reading of the researcher’s desire and his writing, which seeks to unblock the mercantilist logic of knowledge and its relationship with contemporary capitalism.
