| Sumario: | The present article will address the problem of water access in section 11 of the Capital Department of the Mendoza Province within the framework of the degree thesis “Access to water for human consumption in La Favorita. Between State absence and neighborhood organization”. The questions that guided this research were the following: Which are the current ways of water supply in La Favorita? What actors are involved in the water supply? The study is framed from a perspective of social geography and political ecology. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology and participatory action research tools were used. It was possible to identify that the problem of lack of water is a reality in every neighborhood, regardless of their water supply system, and that in many cases is not related to the age or consolidation of the system. |
