Sumario: | Schlumberger has developed a new-generation nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) wireline logging tool, called MR Scanner, in order for petrophysicists and reservoir engineers to identify formation-fluid types, estimate volumes, and determine their properties, as well as to characterize formation hydrocarbons, to determine fluid-storage volumes, and to determine residual oil saturation in all mud types. The tool uses a multifrequency, multiantenna, deep reading measurement at logging speeds to perform precise radial profiling of fluids surrounding the borehole. |
