The analysis is focused primarily in two selected LAC countries: Argentina and Colombia; however, references to the broader Latin America and Caribbean perspective and opportunities are made in a number of cases. This analysis aims to help identify knowledge gaps and where possible formulate generic recommendations/options for consideration by governments in the region to eventually incentivize and effectively govern the incorporation of relevant CDR approaches in national climate change strategies that aim to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs, implement the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and, additionally, inform green recovery plans, when applicable.
