Sumario: | A market research has been carried out in arder to determine the expansion possibilities of radicchio cultivation in Argentine. The radicchio was grown in a demostrative farm and its sale was tried using different commercialization channels what allowed to carry thís product to the majority of the great markets of Argentine. The demand function was calculated, one of them is the average of the 4 years and the others are annuals. The results indicate a progressive increase of the sales through the years. On the one hand it was verified a displacement of the demand function caused by the greater acceptation of the product, and on the other hand, especialty in the last year, the elaslicity of the function has increased. This results indicate that to increase rapidly the consumption it will be necessary to make an effort in arder to divulge the virtues of the product, particularty its positive effect as healthy food, and in this way the demand function will continue to move to the right, producing an increase of the sales without a significant decrease of the prices for the producer. |
