Sumario: | The purpose of this paper is to review and analyze the institutions responsible for water governance in Mendoza, whose survival always depended on the rivers of the Andes mountain range. The work approaches the colonial period that goes from the eighteenth century until the approval of the provincial Constitution in the year 1854, and leaves aside looks back that apply to this stage the parameters of the liberal State of the 19th century. Also, it analyzes the transition from jurisdictional and government culture in the hands of judges, to the organization of the province in the republican form, and pays attention to the future of administrative and judicial activities, whose unfolding promoted the political doctrine since the French Revolution |
